NEW MILLS JUNIORS FC

Today the girls took on a huge challenge in the Manchester FA Girls County Cup, facing a very strong intercity side playing at academy level. We knew it would be a difficult game, but despite the odds, I honestly couldn't be prouder of every single girl who stepped onto that pitch today. Florence took on the challenge in goal and showed absolutely no fear. She wasn't scared to go to the ball, made some really good saves and continued to battle right until the final whistle. S

The day had finally arrived. Our boys have played their games on “Centralised Venues” since U7's so excluding summer tournaments, this was our 'Competitive Debut' on home turf. 24 hours previously, the lads put in a dominant display against Blue Star Cosmos and with one eye on the Manchester County Cup tie, we manged to rotate the players frequently and secured a 5-0 victory with Ronan⚽️⚽️⚽️ scoring a brilliant hat-trick and Kai continuing his great start to the season with

Another fantastic morning of football for the New Mills Juniors U8s against Great Moor Pumas! ⚽️ There were plenty of positives to take from the game, with a number of the squad really starting to get those footballing fundamentals into their heads. In particular, their understanding of shape, positioning and where they need to be on the pitch is really starting to develop, which was great to see.
