Back to full strength this week, albeit Annabella on light duties due to a wrist injury. The team took to the pitch with determination, eager to put in a strong performance.

Seren started in goal and put in an impressive display, making crucial saves and distributing the ball effectively to the sidelines. In defence, Ebony and Emily formed a solid partnership, with Ebony reading the game well and proving to be a formidable presence at the back. Emily, ever reliable, made some vital last-ditch tackles and transitioned the ball upfield with composure.

The midfield trio of Agnes, Millie, and Paige brought energy and creativity to the game. Agnes, playing on the left, caused trouble for the opposition, showing great vision with her passing. Paige, on the right, consistently drove the ball forward, hitting the post on several occasions. Millie impressed with her relentless running down the by-line, taking shots on goal while also tracking back to support the defence, demonstrating an ever-growing understanding of the game.

Ava led the attack with confidence, making intelligent runs and dropping back into midfield when needed. She had several promising chances before the breakthrough came, with Emily, playing on the right, surged forward with intent, beating the defence and striking a superb shot past the helpless goalkeeper to open the scoring.

Jessica and Poppy were introduced to the game and made an immediate impact. Poppy slotted into midfield, showing a great first touch and a positive approach to moving the ball. Jessica linked up well with teammates, contributing with some neat passing sequences. The second goal soon followed, a result of a determined tackle from Emily, quickly picked up by Ebony, who set up Ava for a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Ava showed great composure, slotting the ball home for a well-deserved goal.

In the second half, Ava took her turn in goal and impressed with good stops and smart distribution. Annabella was introduced in midfield, adding energy to the side despite her limited role. Paige was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, hitting the post again in a moment of real promise. Emily continued her strong performance with some fantastic runs forward. Seren, now out of goal and onto the left side of the pitch, quickly made an impact, putting in some excellent tackles. On one occasion, she played a key pass to Emily, who drove forward and unleashed a stunning shot from the right-hand side, securing her second goal of the match in style.

The Player of the Week award was deservedly given to Ava, who has shown great improvement in both matches and training. Her versatility and willingness to take on any position have been invaluable to the team. Today, she celebrated her first goal for the team, marking a special moment in her development.

The match was a joy to watch, with players, supporters, coaches, and even the referee enjoying the spirited contest. The atmosphere was upbeat, and the girls put in a performance to be proud of. Well done girls!
