Match Report - NMJFC U11 Yellows - 15/12/24

Writer: R.OakesR.Oakes

Illness had torn through the Yellows squad ahead of our game against Hayfield U11’s at Glossopdale.

But the team were up for a challenge and couldn’t wait to get started!

There was a great level of energy to the game, with both teams creating early chances. Lucas, our goalkeeper, was making his presence known in goal with some great saves. Jack, Bertie and Sami were putting some strong tackles in at the back and making excellent clearances.

Nathan, Robbie and Fletcher were non-stop in midfield, breaking up play and always looking for the forward passes.

Half-time came and a well deserved rest. A few changes of position and the Yellows were ready to go again! Jack moving into midfield led to more chances being created, with Leo testing the Hayfield goalkeeper more and more, but also starting to play some excellent passes to set up his team-mates.

Special mention to Rowan, who made his return to the team for the first time since breaking his wrist in the first game of the season. Was brilliant to see him back.

⚽️⚽️ Angus, with two excellent finishes today. Very well deserved for an action packed performance where he simply did not stop all game. When Angus scores, he has the biggest smile - and he carried this smile into our next training session, as the photo shows!

A tough game today against a very good Hayfield team, but every single one of the Yellows stepped up to the plate and made it a fantastic match. 🏆 So it was only right that the whole team shared the player of the match trophy.

We now go into our festive break to rest and recharge. A huge thank you to all of the parents and spectators who bring their positive support every single week. We can’t wait to go again in 2025!

⚽️🖤💛⚽️
