Match Report NMJFC U12 v Richmond Rovers Jaguars - 26/11/23
The Millers controlled the game from start to finish today with very few errors made and excellent positional play throughout.
Cole was vocal and commanded his box well distributing the ball out to the back line of Mayson, Stan and Indi.
Midfield battles were won by Ryan and Jess with Bertie and Darragh down the wings at every opportunity.
Bertie battled hard with the Richmond back line as several chances came and went through either great save from the Richmond keeper or last ditch blocks being made from a battling Richmond defence.
Bertie grabbed a first half hat trick with Darragh and Ryan also scoring along with Gregory’s clever finish before the break.
Lots of changes at the half saw Bobby come on in defence with Tommy too with Dan W coming on up top.
Mayson got a well deserved goal along with Jess and Ryan with goal machine Bertie getting his fourth of the day.
Overall a fantastic team display of hard work discipline and some excellent football goals along the way.
Another clean sheet for Cole who was assured as ever meant the Millers goal was not breached for a second game running.
Player of the match deservedly went to Ryan for his work-rate throughout the game along with the quality of his attacking play.
Rick, Liam and Rob are delighted with the fitness levels and application of the group this season in our first competitive season of junior football.
