Match Report NMJFC U12s - 11-11-23
After a few weeks without a fixture the Millers started slowly and took their time to get their passing game going.
Strong work at the back from Daniel, Bobby and Cookie limited the opportunities for the visitors.
Mayson, Jess, Bertie and Darragh controlled midfield and Dan worked the back line hard and the chances soon came.
Excellent team goals were scored with the highlight in the first half being Cole with quick distribution to Darragh on the left he found Dan in the centre and Dan smashed home in style.
Mayson also contributed with a long range effort which flew into the top corner.
Gregory came into midfield in the second half and was calmness personified on the ball as usual.
Indi came on at right back and was her usual strong tackling self, winning all her duels with the winger she was up against.
Harry T was everywhere working hard closing people down and going close to scoring on one occasion where he spun his marker superbly, placing his shot narrowly wide of the goal.
The pick of the second half goals, a fantastic right wing corner from Bobby which was headed home superbly by Darragh followed by a well taken goal by Cookie from right back.
Goals were scored by Bertie ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ Darragh ⚽️⚽️ Dan W ⚽️⚽️ Mayson ⚽️ Bobby (pen) ⚽️ Cookey ⚽️ and an own goal.
A superb football display from the kids with many stand out performances but Bertie took the player of the match award for his goals and also his excellent defensive work for the team.
