It was an early kick-off this week for the mini Millers at the newly opened Priestnall astro which looked absolutely fantastic.
New Mills were keen to keep up the positive momentum from the last few weeks, and did not disappoint. They started the game with good composure and were controlling the game well in midfield and not letting the opposition settle on the ball.
It wasn't long before the Millers created the first chance of the game, with cracking cross flashed across the 6-yard box but unfortunately no one could capitalise on it.
The Millers were a constant threat but were denied by either the woodwork or the oppositions goalkeeper who was in fine form making a host of top drawer saves.
Finally, the pressure paid off and the deadlock was broken with a beautifully worked team goal which was superbly slotted away by Jimmy.
A second soon followed with a sublime finish from Tyler who calmly lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box.
The halftime whistle went and the boys went in deservedly in the lead.
Second half started well for the boys and Brodie found himself in space and his long-range effort snook just inside the post to the joy of the onlooking parents!
The game continued with the Miller's dominating possession, but Didsbury were still a threat on the counter attack, which the defenders dealt with well.
A cracking performance from the team today, who continue to impress and play some lovely football.
Today's 'brain mat' POTM goes to Tyler who put in a terrific all-round performance and capped it off with a stunning goal.
Well done today everyone keep up the good work 👏
