The Millers had a full 16 for their away trip to Buxton on this cold Sunday morning. Having lost our last 2 games it was time to try a different formation and from the start the Millers were looking comfortable on the ball keeping possession in midfield.
The defence of Sol, George, Fin and Misha was soaking anything Buxton could throw at them.
Lewis, Eithan and Joel in midfield was working the ball beautifully around the middle of the park and the looking to find the space for Boggy to run onto upfront.
Josh just keeps better every week on the left wing and Ben had some lovely touches on the right.
Good first half from the Millers.
Second half Misha come off for a rest and was replaced by Dillan , let’s just say Stuart Pearce would have been proud of his performance at left back.
Millers started to find some space in the middle of the Buxton half and from 25 yards out Joel hit one sweatily over the Buxton defence and hitting the roof of the net 1-0 Millers.
15 minutes left to play Buxton started to pile the pressure on and it looked like they was going to get their equaliser, the Buxton striker one on one with our stand in keeper Cary.
He shot and it looked like he’d beaten Cary who somehow stuck his hand out to make a brilliant save.
With 5 minutes to go it was getting nail biting, the ball fell to Olly B on the edge of the box he hit it first time and it looked like it was going wide but rolled into the bottom corner. That followed with a 16 man pile on celebration from the Miller’s players.
Great all round team performance today.
We had to give Olly B man of the match for his goal and the celebration today.
