Match Report NMJFC U13s 10/12/23
Hazel Grove jets v New Mills u13s.
Couple of late pull outs left the Millers with only 11 players for today’s game. Things could only go from bad to worse for the Millers after 8 minutes Joel got injured and was out of the game.
Down to ten players the Millers went to a back 3 of Sol, Cary and Misha who was soaking everything up Hazel Grove was throwing at them , when it did get through, Dillan was there to make some fantastic saves and great footwork playing as a sweeper keeper.
Lewis never stopped in midfield looking to play the balls into the space for Bogdan and Olly B to run onto.
Ethan and Toby was doing some lovely one two’s and Ben never stopped running and dropping back into defence when needed.
The Millers took the lead in the first half from a Lewis corner smashed in by Cary. With another 35 minutes to play it was going to be hard to hold onto their lead and with 12 minutes to go tied legs started to show and Hazel Grove made it pay with a couple of goals.
It was hard for the lads to take at the end as they had all pulled together and worked so hard, probably one of their best performances working as a team this season.
Really proud of everyone one of them today.
