Match Report NMJFC U13s - 25/09/22
High Lane u13s v New Mills u13s
The Millers travelled to High Lane this week for an early kick off, lovely conditions for it.
We were eager to get going and forget about last weeks result.
The game started and both teams seemed up for it, game was end to end with no team really creating any clear chances. High Lane got their chance not long after with a penalty decision that hit the post but was scrambled in by the home team.
First half continued the same, New Mills were playing some decent football in spells, just unfortunate not to find the net.
Half time 1-0 to High Lane.
2nd half kicked off and the home team went on the break straight away and scored, not long after, they were given another penalty, which was converted.
The Millers seemed to kick on though and could of easily grabbed a couple of goals themselves. Shortly after a New Mills corner was headed home by a High Lane defender to make it 3-1.
Jaiden C then scored a brilliant lob to put the game at 3-2 with 10 mins left on the clock. The Millers pressed and pressed to try and put the game even but ran out of time as the ref blew for full time.
Brilliant performances all round, working as a team like they know they can.
We go again next week at home to Whaley bridge.
