Match Report NMJFC U7s v Bramhall North Blacks - 02/03/25

The U7s had a week of rest last week where they enjoyed a great training session with our new team of players getting ready for next season.
This week back at the Powerleague for a 3rd game against the powerful Bramhall North Blacks. The team was at full strength with Kingsley in goal, Kit playing on the right, Logan centre back, Thomas on the left and Lily and Jude through the middle.
Elliott, Alistair and Leo would be our game changers this week.
The first half was a relentless period of football but one where each player showed their skills. Logan managed the backline well, Thomas was fearless in his tackling, Jude linking the play well, Lily’s passing and energy were superb, Kingsley’s passing out is improving every week and Kit’s bravery to take players on was evident. Alistair came on for Thomas and he showcased his passing and drive forward. Elliott’s energy and dribbling through the middle gave Jude a rest and Leo slotted in at centre back for Logan, reading the game as brilliantly as ever.
The best move of the half started at the back with Kingsley to Kit, playing inside to Leo to Lily then played onto Kit further down the right who crossed perfectly for Elliott who forced the keeper into a super save. Awesome football and a pleasure to see what the team can do!
At half time the team took a well earned break, captain Logan would take Kingsley’s place in goal. Kingsley would slot into the middle to show his tackling and dribbling skills.
The second half was a very tight affair with all players continuing to show courage and bravery in all aspects of their game. Particular highlights were Logan’s superb keeping skills making saves left and right but also keeping hold of shots too. Kingsley hitting a superb volley which looped over the keeper and in. Kit getting a goal from some quick thinking at a dribble in.
The team play in the second half was excellent though with Elliott unlucky not to score, Alistair getting shots away, great pressure from Jude and Lily winning the ball earlier, Kingsley dribbling forward, Thomas relentless in the tackle, Leo picking his passes and Kit’s great crossing creating chances.
After the game the players had super smiles as all had enjoyed another great game against great opponents.
A pleasure to watch as always U7s we go again next week.
