Match report NMJFC U9s - 25/09/22
The Falcons were up against Hayfield U9’s at Glossopdale this morning.
After last weeks opening game, the Falcons have spent time working on keeping their shape and using the bigger pitch to their advantage.
With a couple of the team being switched into different positions, the Falcons started the game brilliantly. Fantastic communication and energy, playing some excellent passes from back to front, leading to an excellent first half of football.
The big challenge last week going into the second half, was the extra game time and size of the pitch taking its toll - and it was the same again this week. But the season is a marathon not a sprint and there were still loads of positives to take away from this morning.
Special mention to todays captain Alfie, who deservedly also won our player of the match trophy. A fantastic midfield performance where he knew when to drop deep to protect his defence and knowing when to exploit the gaps with some driving forward runs with the ball. Awesome performance today Alfie 👏🏻
