NMJFC U10 vs Hollingworth Wolves
A fantastic performance from the Mini Millers in Glossopdale today. Both in attack and defence they were superb. New Mills started well spending most of their time in the opposition half. They were rewarded for their bright start when Tommy got the ball midway into the half, controlled with his right foot, beat his man and fired a rocket with his left foot into the corner of the goal from distance. Stan managed to get 2 quick goals and Bertie scoring direct from a corner. Darragh added to the goals before halftime. Hollingworth weren't without chances, hitting on the counter a few times in the 1st half with Cole making a couple of good saves before conceding a goal.
2nd half continued with New Mills dictating the play and worked in not getting hit on the counter which they did very well with. They continued with their wonderful passing football creating spaces with their movement and having plenty of chances. Bertie helped himself to a hat trick before the match was through. Fantastic effort by all of the players.
MOM went to Tommy, he really worked hard on looking after the ball and was rewarded with a super goal.
