The Millers wanted to right a wrong from a few weeks back when the opposition comfortably out-played the lads.
Both teams started on the front foot with NMJFC getting some good passages of play together. This seemed to kick start FC Bluestar as they started to dominate possession for a period of play. Cary -who was deputising for the absent Dillan, pulled off a few good saves and started some good counter attacks through both wingers Ollie.M and Ben.
The Millers defence was extremely impressive as Joel and Ross were communicating together and holding the line to perfection catching the opposition offside several times.
The Millers midfield were starting to influence some positive moves forward with Lewis and George winning their tackles and getting the team on the attack.
With Ollie. M attacking his marker and getting the better of him, the ball found Toby just outside the oppositions box to strike the ball with perfection and smash the ball into the goal to give the boys a deserved lead. ...... what a strike.
Half time and a deserved drinks break and time to catch their breath.
With the second half underway FC Bluestar were showing the Millers that the game was far from over, committing at least four players in every attack, but the midfield of Ollie M, Lewis, George and Ben were running their hearts out.
Joel and Ross weren't letting the attackers have a second with some excellent defensive plays.
FcBluestar got there break with some skillful wing play and a great strike to match ..... game on.
With both teams not wanting to get on the wrong side of the scoreline the work rate was very impressive from both sets of players.
With a ball over the top, George fancied his chances and with the ball half way inside the Bluestars half, he struck the ball with his left foot and watched the ball fly into the net leaving the keeper no chance. Another amazing goal by the Millers and nothing short of what they deserved.
The game was drawing to a close now and Bluestar were pressing but nothing was too testing for the impressive Millers today who saw the game out with the hard work they produced throughout.
Two wonder strikes and a very impressive performance today.
Well done boys.
The referee couldn't single anyone out for The man of the match as he said it was a fantastic team performance.
Well done boys
