NMJFC U11'S Vs Offerton
On a very wintery day, both teams met for the last league cup game before we split.
Even in the very wet conditions, the MILLERS were up for it from the off.
Both teams were finding it hard to start with, to get used to the wet conditions on the 4g pitch.
The Millers were in control of the game, trying to play their passing game they started to break down the Offerton defence creating chances.
With the millers starting to dominate the possession through some excellent forward link up play from George, Cary and Lewis. With Ollie M and Ben on the wings finding space to work the ball well and Joel working tirelessly to protect the ever steady Ross and Stan in defence.
When Offerton did get possession, the MILLERS rallied together to press and gain the ball back.
Dillan in goal was keeping busy by instructing his team on their positions and keeping the team morale high.
The Millers got the goal they deserved through a great strike from Ollie M from outside the box.
Few half chances passed by but the game was surely put to bed when Joel played Ollie M down the wing for him to then play a great cross to Lewis- who then with his new boots volleyed the ball into the goal. 💥
With the game coming to the end, Offertons persistence paid off as they grabbed a late goal.
The man of the match award could have gone to a few today but with his great goal and excellent assist it was a well deserved Ollie M who received it 👏 🏆
