Rose Hill Rovers Vs NMJFC U12's
The old football saying "it's a game of two halves" was never more suited to a game.
A good match up across all positions saw NMJFC give a strong account of themselves against a good Rose Hill side.
A close 1st half was ended with both sides failing to score with the New Mills back line of George and Ross nulling the Rovers' attacks and with Cary reading the game well in goal to quickly set up attacks for the Millers' midfield and attackers.
The 2nd half was a different story - a couple of needed changes were made and the Millers started brightly and quickly took a deserved lead through a defence splitting pass from Lewis to Alfie who smashed it home and a second quickly followed through this season's goal machine Ollie.Mc.
But then ........ a black cloud covered the pitch and before the Millers knew it, they were behind, Ollie.Mc converted a pen to give the Millers a glimmer of hope.
Unfortunately, we were the wrong side of the 5-3 result, but the opposing manager pulled Nick to one side and praised the young Millers on their style of play and amazing range of passing.
He then went on to say he had 2 players in mind for our J Taylor electrical solutions MOTM and swayed to hand it to team captain George.👏🏻👏🏻
