NMJFC u12's v Buxton young bucks blue
On a perfect day for football after a little rain on the pitch beforehand, the millers got here new season underway.
The pitch all marked out thanks to groundsman Nick Bennett and the lads in their new kit's curtesy of our ongoing sponsorship with Swizzels, the Millers were ready.
Playing against a newly formed team now under the Buxton FC umbrella it was never going to be easy.
The game started scrappy with neither team getting on the ball or creating much.
As the half drew on BYBB created two opportunities on which they capitalized and score on both occasions.
Now this hit the millers hard in the face ....... and finally sprung them into action.
With the introduction of Alfie, Ben, and Olly.b the millers started putting at the opposition.
With the boys looking more composed on the ball and growing in confidence they won a penalty which Ollie.Mc slotted home.
With the team chasing for a second they were leaving themselves exposed slightly but with some excellent defending and superb work rate the opponents didn't score again ........ but unfortunately, neither did the millers but it wasn't through a lack of trying.
Onwards an upwards boys.
Also, well done to Ruben Adrio officiating his first game- well done mate 👏🏻
And a shout out to Joel Wood who had to shoot off at half time to play in a semi-final golf tournament........ which he won with his dad.
