Adswood United V New Mills Juniors U13s
First meet of the season between the two sides, had both teams vying for the possible 6 points from their remaining two fixtures, in order to finish higher up the league table, as the penultimate weekend of the season draws to a close.
It was Adswood that took the upper hand in the first half and with the Millers not starting as brightly as hoped, coupled with a few errors on the pitch led to the home side breaking the deadlock only 10 minutes in.
A few missed opportunities to follow saw the boys come into the break feeling frustrated. Knowing how they needed to change it up and with a change in mindset and work rate the boys went back out, started well and took control of the second half.
Every player played their part today in what is always a great battle against this oposition.
Scoring 3 goals in this half meant the Millers deservedly took the 3 points home with them.
Keeping each other calm, knowing the football they can produce and working hard right til that final whistle, won them todays battle on the field.
With the seasons end fast approaching and only 1 more game to play at home next week, these children should all be very proud of what they have achieved in whats been another strange season.
Hope they realise just how proud we truly are of them all!
