Home game for us today against Bollington Pythons who we met last week in a cup game and had a hard fought win!
It was a league game this week and we were a few players down so knew it was going to be a tough match with some of the boys playing out of position.
Our boys went out determined and had a excellent start with Theo finishing off his own rebounded shot in the 7th minute. We continued to play well and scored the next goal from a corner that bobbled around in the box which was then finished off by Jack Bull in the 18th minute. We were dominant in the game but let the opposition get one back in the 24th minute. We didn’t let this get us down and scored again in the 30th minute from some great determination by Jack Toft to get the ball back near the corner flag and jink his way in to the box to finish off in the bottom corner.
In the second half we started fast again with Jack Bull scoring in the 38th minute then Jack Toft scored soon after in the 45th. We gave a penalty away after this goal with a unfortunate tackle right on the edge of the box… luckily for us Jack Paulsen saved the penalty then Theo blocked the follow up shot which kept the score comfortable for us. Jack Toft scored again near enough straight after the penalty in the 51st minute. We gave another penalty away in the 60th minute with a lazy dangled out leg in the box that the Bollington striker gratefully fell over that the opposition scored. We then started to show our fitness with the intensity we played at in the last ten minutes, with Liam Jones scoring in the 65th minute and Jack Topping scoring in the last minute to make it 8-2.
MOM Henry Parker for a excellent all round performance in attack and defence on the right hand side.
Well done boys, another excellent team performance with some brilliant football played.
