A sunny morning at Glossopdale made for perfect conditions as the Falcons took on Chinley U8 Greens.
The performances so far this year have been excellent and the Falcons were looking to keep that going against one of our favourite opponents. Previous matches against Chinley Greens have been hugely entertaining with both teams playing the right way, with respect, sportsmanship and fun.
The first half saw the Falcons play arguably their best half of football all season. Amazing pressing, excellent discipline in keeping their shape and using the space really well to create a numbers of chances.
The second half was more of the same, with the Falcons showing a level of urgency that has been a huge factor in their great performances recently. The game opened up and the Falcons were able to use the spaces on both wings to continually threaten the oppositions goal.
Superb goals today from Poppy ⚽️ and Alfie ⚽️ in arguably the Falcons best, most consistent performance of the season so far.
Special mention to today’s captain Angus, who has come on in leaps and bounds over the past few games. His action packed performance in midfield was a joy to watch and showed how much his confidence and skills have grown. You were awesome today Angus!
