NMJFC U8 Hawks v Whaley Bridge
A cold morning in the High Peak Junior League saw the U8 Hawks face Whaley Bridge.
A switch round with goalkeeping duties saw Shea take the number 1 jersey for the first half and he put in a solid shift although thankfully not too busy for him. Against the run of play Whaley grabbed a goal and seemed to build some momentum from that with string of attacks. Liam held the back line well for The Millers with lots of support from Harley, Joe and Leo. We created lots of chances but couldn’t get lucky with the goal we were working hard for.
Starting the second half from behind, Liam started on goalkeeping duties for us and we also saw Ella and Brooke come on from the bench. Ella injected some extra drive into the team right from the get go and we built further on pushing forward with our attacks. The goals started to come courtesy of Leo who bagged 4 in the end all of which were top class finishes and helped earn him man of the match 🏆
Looking for passes, giving each other options and applying pressure every time Whaley had possession ensured a strong performance all around.
Top top efforts today, well done Hawks.
