Match report NMJFC Under 9s Hawks. - 06/11/22

NMJFC U9 Hawks v Buxton

It was a crisp and cold morning at Glossopdale this weekend and The Hawks were in good spirit.

This weekends fixture was a part of The FA’s silent support weekend meaning it was all down to the players to show good communication and organise themselves without the input of spectators and coaches alike.

Tight defending at the back, outstanding work rate and concentration from Joe and Liam as always gave very few chances away to Buxton in the first half.

Kian played the first half in goal and stopped a couple of great chances, but a thunder strike from a free kick couldn’t be saved - by anyone I don’t think!

The Hawks regrouped at half time and came out on to the pitch looking a bit livelier. Good link-ups in midfield between Ella, Bradley and Kian provided a couple of opportunities on goal for The Millers, with Harley unable to find the back of the net.

Rey Rey came into defence in the second half and worked very hard to close Buxton down, giving them little time on the ball and James came into play in goal, again making some important saves.

A superb individual goal, struck from distance hit the back of the net courtesy of Bradley ⚽️ - awesome stuff 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Big shout out to Shea who played the first 15 minutes - wasn’t feeling well but still put in a shift for the team.

Man of the match this week was hands down our captain Liam 🏆 the voice of the team from start to finish and a true leader for The Hawks.
