Today the U9’s were taking on Richmond Rovers at Stockport sports village
We had a full squad to start and the boys were raring to get going.
It was change of captain day with Teddy taking the armband for this month, hoping to show his captain qualities.
The Millers started well attacking from the off with Stanley and Charlie J making cutting runs through there defence and shooting.
Stanley got us our first goal but at this point it could have been 2 or 3.
This saw a reaction from the rovers who found their rhythm and started their own attacks.
The game was now heating up with both sides pushing on with end to end football.
A switch around at halftime ensuring we remained fresh, and the game continued as it had stopped.
Stanley once again got us fired up going on a fantastic run down the left and cutting in to finish, with Charlie J also getting a well deserved goal a few minutes later.
A great team effort today against a really competitive side, making it to difficult to choose 1 individual.
