In a thoroughly entertaining encounter against Richmond Lazio U7s, the team put on a dazzling offensive display that perfectly embodied this week's training focus of enjoying their football with smiles on their faces.

With Thomas making a welcome return to the lineup, though missing Alistair and Kingsley who were away for Easter, the squad produced a performance full of creativity, determination, and no shortage of goals.

Captain Thomas led by example from the right side, demonstrating his vision early on with a perfectly weighted through ball that provided an assist for Kit's opening goal. His leadership continued in the second half when he took over goalkeeping duties, producing numerous crucial saves as the match took on a more defensive complexion.

Kit delivered a masterclass in attacking play during the first period, finding the net twice and turning provider with two assists through excellent combination play with Logan. His tireless work rate was evident throughout as he transitioned to the right flank after the interval, constantly making himself available in both attacking and defensive situations.

Leo was solid as ever at the heart of defence, reading the game superbly and making several perfectly timed challenges. His composure in possession helped launch numerous counter-attacks, while his precise passing maintained the team's rhythm throughout his time on the pitch.

Logan continued his impressive form in the final third during a remarkable first half that saw him complete a hat-trick while also setting up Kit's second goal with unselfish play. His versatility shone through when he stepped back into central defence during Leo's rest period, adapting seamlessly to the different role.

Jude brought endless energy and determination to the left flank, with his direct running causing constant problems. Despite the disappointment of missing from the penalty spot, his resilience was rewarded with a moment of magic as he found the far corner with a sublime finish that cannoned in off the post. His spectacular front-flip celebration drew cheers from teammates and spectators alike as celebration of the week.

Lily made an immediate impact upon her introduction in advanced areas, disrupting the opposition with tenacious tackling and intelligent pressing. Her persistence and positioning sense paid dividends when she timed her run perfectly to finish clinically at the near post in the second half.

Elliott began between the posts for the first half, making several important interventions and launching numerous attacks with superb sideline distribution.  

For the second half, moving to the left flank and then into more advanced positions. His energy and enthusiasm were infectious as he pressed high up the field, creating numerous opportunities for teammates with his intelligent movement and quick thinking, managing to win the ball for Lily’s goal.

The first half was a breathtaking exhibition of end-to-end football with both teams trading attacking blows, while the second period saw more defensive organisation though still providing excitement with four more goals.

As the season progresses, this performance provided further evidence of the squad's development, with their attacking flair and team spirit suggesting plenty more entertaining football lies ahead.
