Tytherington Juniors U13s 4-6 NMJFC U13s
An incredibly wet start for the U13s 1st league match of the season against a Tytherington team they had not faced before.
The Millers started the game excellent where they were strong in defence, and had plenty of control in the midfield, this enabled them to race into a 3-0 lead inside 20 minutes with Mayson securing a brace and an excellent strike from distance from Bobby.
Tytherington grew into the game and started to dictate play with an extra man in midfield, they were rewarded with 2 goals before halftime.
The second half started quite similar to how the 1st ended with Tytherington on top but the Millers defence was holding out. Mayson soon completed his hat trick with a superb finish on the counter. Tytherington hit one back instantly from a corner.
New Mills regained an element of control when we matched the Tytherington midfield and soon found their 2 goal cushion when Mayson scored his 4th goal, this was swiftly followed by a superb free kick from Bertie.
A looping shot from Tytherington went in with 5 to go to make a slightly nervy finish, but the Millers defence held strong to secure a 4-6 win.
Excellent start to the season against a decent Tytherington team.
