It was another fine day for playing football with the glorious sunshine out again, and long may it continue. The team was in good spirits and eager to rectify their performance from the last time the two teams met.

The Millers were slow to start, and struggled to string any passes together, which Reddish capitalised on to take an early lead.

However, this spurred the Millers on and they started to play the football we know they can. With some great build up play the ball found its way to Harry F on the edge of the opponent's box who scored into the fair corner, game on!

With the Millers now in full flow it wasn't long before they found themselves in front with a well worked goal calmly finished by Max.

We knew Reddish would put up a stern test and they quickly levelled things up, with the big lad up top who capitalised on a lack of concentration from the Millers defence.

This seemed to push Reddish on and they quickly added a third with a goal from a corner which the Millers failed to clear.

With halftime fast approaching a forced substitution was made, and Remo found himself on the edge of the box and thundered the ball into the top corner with what must have been his first touch, giving the keeper no chance, super finish!

Halftime came at the right time, with everyone having put in a right shift, and a well-deserved drink.

Second half, the Millers start brightly, and quickly took the lead with another quality finish from Remo.

As the game went on there was a few tough tackles going in from the opposition but credit to the Millers they kept their heads and continued to play their passing game and were thoroughly rewarded with a penalty for a clumsy challenge in the box. The usual taker Harry P handed the ball to Remo who clinically despatched to round off his hat-trick 5-3.

By this point the opposition were now getting frustrated, and soon found themselves down to 8 men, this just seemed to spur the Millers on more and they took total control of the game.

Harry P eventually got on the scoresheet with a neat finish, which was well worked down the wings before calmly slotted away.

The lads continued to probe away and ride some tough challenges along the way, but this didn't phase them, and it was great to see them show great character to see the game out.

With the full-time whistle fast approaching the Millers were not resting up, and a patient build-up of play was unfortunately bundled into net from their own player.

Full-time 7-3 to the Millers, who thoroughly deserved a well fought victory today.

POTM could have gone to anyone one of the boys as they were all excellent, but Harry F just nicked it, as his all-round performance was a key factor today. Scored a goal and was a constant threat and holding the ball up to allow others to get in the game, well done Harry 👏

Super proud of the team today, well done all, we go again next week 💪⚽️
