It was a midday kick off today, and with the warm sunshine making an appearance for the start of the Easter break, the lads knew they was in for a tough game against a well organised UK Sports team.
The game started with both teams trying to keep hold of the ball and build up play with some slick passing. However, both defences were managing to break down any real attacks that were created.
The deadlock was finally broken with a bit of magic from Remo, who danced his way through the defenders and calmly slotted the ball into the far corner giving the keeper no chance.
The Millers then started to control the game and soon found themselves 2 up, with another clinical finish from Remo just inside the area. As the boys continued to create some excellent chances, it was the woodwork which came to the rescue and denied the Millers on three occasions. As UK Sports continued to play good football they manged to pull a goal back, the Millers were wondering if it was going to be one of those days.
Harry F was a constant threat upfront, and was working tirelessly to chase down the ball, and he was finally rewarded with a goal just before Half-time.
The Millers started the second half slowly and UK Sports scored an early goal, but this didn't faze the boys it just seemed to spur them on. They started to play the football we know they can, with slick passing and high energy.
It was another piece of magic that created the next goal, lovely build up play from the back found its way to Tyler on the wing and with a little skill beat his man and drove into the box and cutely finished past a stranded keeper.
As the game was coming to a conclusion there was still time for Harry P and Max to add to the tally, both finishing off good passages of play. Just before the full-time whistle Remo scored his third completing a thoroughly well-deserved Hatrick.
The boys were brilliant today, and its a pleasure to watch them play entertaining football, keep it up 💪⚽️
Today's 'Brainmat' POTM went to Tyler, for an excellent individual performance, well done ⚽️
